How it all started...
Branson is an exciting place to be! There are roughly 11,000 fulltime residents in Branson but, during the summer months, there's almost 150,000 people here. We have shows, attractions, food, vacation stays, fishing, shopping...something for everyone, and they all need employees. People come from miles around to work in the tourism industry here. The problem is, there isn't enough housing for all the employees so many stay in the extended stay motels while they are here.
Gateway Branson was birthed out of a love for these unseen and mostly overlooked people. God loves them and wants them to know His love. Many have never heard of Jesus or God's incredible love for them, some of them have been hurt by past church interactions or by judgemental believers, and others may have walked away from faith alltogether. Most churches aren't equipped to focus on outreach ministry, opting instead to focus on ministering and helping believers grow spiritually. We believe you can do both and have been reaching out to both believers and nonbelievers since 2012! Our current location is in the middle of 8 extended stay hotels, just off the "strip" in Branson; we're not a traditional church
